OCT-1-7-2018 ASTROCAST OVERVIEW
Pluto just went direct as we emerge from a masculine and airy weekend, want to know what this means for you personally? Reach out to book a reading! Throughout the week we’re on a Personal and Socially oriented emotional playing field. Moon into watery Cancer Monday through mid-Wednesday is time to get out of our minds and into our feelings. How can we use our intuition and find ways to nurture and support our friends, colleagues, and families? Moon into fiery Leo Wednesday through Mid-Friday is time to shine bright, and inspire others to do the same.
How can we lead with compassion, understanding, and empathy? Retroshade Venus finally goes retrograde on Friday as we move into a feminine grounded and consolidating weekend with Moon into Virgo on Friday afternoon, just before the New Moon next week. Finally, the moon shifts into Libra Sunday evening, about how we can incorporate balance and relationships with the new moon intentions.
MONDAY OCTOBER 1
Emotional Element: AIR/WATER – Gemini/Cancer
Moon Phase: Waning Gibbous
Late morning our emotional world shifts from masculine to feminine. We stop thinking with our heads and begin operating from our hearts, and even our gut instinct. Out of the box and unconventional ideas make us happy. There’s a small window in the early afternoon to do something unusual that we wouldn’t normally do, because it will be well received by those in our orbit. Once the window closes; however, it’s closed ~ and you’ll know it.
By late afternoon early evening, the pendulum swings between a nurturing lovingness vs. hard work and tough love to get things done. Lean to the side that you resonate most with, that’s the area that you need to express, and be sure to communicate the reasons why you choose to swing this way on the spectrum.
Oils: Basil (release), Bergamot (release), Cardamom (release), Cassia (receive), Frankincense (release), Jasmine (receive), Spearmint (receive), Vetiver (release)
Crystals: Blue Lace Agate, Calcite, Natrolite, Ulexite
TUESDAY OCTOBER 2
Emotional Element: WATER – Cancer
Moon Phase: 4th Quarter Waning Moon
Depending on what side of the world you’re on, you might be asleep and dreaming, awake and having your morning coffee, having afternoon tea, or your evening meal when this 4th Quarter Moon is exact, at 2:45am PST. Check your timezone. People tend to put all their stock in the Full Moon or the New Moon, and it is unwise to belittle the power of the 4th quarter Moon (or any phase for that matter).
The 4th quarter Moon is already awkward in nature with a tension – as it pulls between the Full Moon and New Moon ~ and this Moon particularly is caught up in a t-square with Pluto and Mercury. Emotional turmoil, exquisite torment, and the trickster as the apex. What on earth will we do? Attempt to talk our way out of an emotional mess? Or will our tongue get us into trouble? Most likely a bit of both. Temptation will make getting kicked off the planet appealing but we all know that this is the best place there is, and we can use this tension to bring about creative solutions and not fight the torment, but roll with it.
Oils: Bergamot (release), Cassia (receive), Jasmine (receive), Vetiver (release)
Crystals: Calcite, Natrolite
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 3
Emotional Element: WATER/FIRE – Cancer/Leo
Moon Phase: 4th Quarter Waning Moon
Void Moon for the most of the day off Jupiter. Wednesday will feel like a Lucky day, or at least we will be under the guise that this is what is going on. Sometimes it’s good to be blindly optimistic, because it helps us lean on the law of attraction. Early afternoon the Moon moves into Leo and it is time to shine bright, and inspire others to do the same.
How can we lead with compassion, understanding, and empathy? At the same time, not letting our selves get dragged through the mud when our new idea doesn’t exactly turn out as we expected. All day long we feel uplifted and the afternoon will try to take that away from us. If you’re doing the work, the reward will be of a certain kind of strengthening, rather than a loss.
Oils: Bergamot (release), Birch (receive), Cassia (receive), Cedarwood (receive), Jasmine (receive), Neroli (release), Red Mandarin (release), Vetiver (release), Ylang Ylang (receive)
Crystals: Amber, Calcite, Natrolite, Petalite
THURSDAY OCTOBER 4
Emotional Element: FIRE – Leo
Moon Phase: 4th Quarter Waning Moon
We wake up off an anger and aggressive emotional state. We might want to feel big and powerful, and it will be challenging to figure out how to make that work without pissing people off. Ask, “How can I lead and take the power position while still being understanding to other people”.
We might want to hog all the light, but listen to the little voice, think of the little guy. There’s a need to look good and feel good, and a chance for disappointment in whether or not we meet our expectations of what that might be. Try not to get hung up on that, because by late morning and throughout the rest of the day, we start to gain a balance of the inner and outer worlds, and life seemingly flows somewhat smooth and productively.
Oils: Bergamot (release), Birch (receive), Cedarwood (receive), Jasmine (receive), Neroli (release), Red Mandarin (release), Ylang Ylang (receive)
Crystals: Amber, Petalite
FRIDAY OCTOBER 5
Emotional Element: FIRE/EARTH – Leo/Virgo
Moon Phase: Balsamic Waning Moon
Venus has been throwing some shade for a few weeks now, and she finally goes retrograde on Friday. We move into a feminine grounded and consolidating weekend with Moon into Virgo on Friday afternoon, just before the New Moon next week. Last weekends brainstorming session, where we just let it all out, on paper, in photography, digitally, or even musically – now we can start to filter though those ideas, and refine our direction.
Virgo is so good with razor sharp vision, to read between the lines and pull out what we really want and make it crystal clear. All Friday evening it’s like we get a super-mega dose of Moon trine Ouranos and Cronos. A little mini saga of the past year or so of those two archetypes in a trine dance, of what the old vs the new has held for us, and what it will blossom into. Take the time to really feel this and experience it. It only comes around once in a blue moon.
Oils: Bergamot (release), Birch (receive), Cedarwood (receive), Cilantro (receive), Clary Sage (release), Dill (receive), Eucalyptus (receive), Grapefruit (receive), Jasmine (release), Lemon (release), Lemongrass (release), Melaleuca (receive), Melissa (receive), Neroli (release), Oregano (receive), Patchouli (release), Red Mandarin (release), Roman Chamomile (receive), Ylang Ylang (receive)

SATURDAY OCTOBER 6
Emotional Element: EARTH – Virgo
Moon Phase: Balsamic Waning Moon
Use the soft emotional understanding between our inner world and Venus, to do something wonderful for yourself. Spa day, hike out in nature, or just get away with yourself to do something you love. Treat yourself, because you deserve it. Especially after such a long socially oriented week.
In the evening, you’re presented with a dissolving of barriers – something seemingly wonderful seems within reach but you question it’s realness. Take nothing at face value, and be discerning of chance opportunities if it’s not something that you’ve been working toward for a while. Listen to your gut, you’re grounded today, making any decision to move forward from a place of love, reminds you you’re on the right path. If there’s any sense of doubt or fear, well then you have your answer.
Oils: Cilantro (receive), Clary Sage (release), Dill (receive), Eucalyptus (receive), Grapefruit (receive), Lemon (release), Lemongrass (release), Melaleuca (receive), Melissa (receive), Oregano (receive), Patchouli (release), Roman Chamomile (receive)

SUNDAY OCTOBER 7
Emotional Element: EARTH/AIR – Virgo/Libra
Moon Phase: Balsamic Waning Moon
Void Moon all day off supportive talk with Jupiter. If you spent the previous day doing something wonderful for yourself and by chance making a decision to move forward on something new and otherworldly ~ today is a good day to rest, reflect and regenerate.
The Moon moves into airy Libra in the evening, about how we can incorporate balance and relationships with the new moon intentions for tomorrow. To top it off there’s tension between balance and structure, setting the tone for a slow entrance into the week ahead. Slow can be good in that we ease into things, and have the time to properly arrive at decisions. It might not feel like a whole lot of fun, but that usually means that it’s in our best interest.
